ASTTBC / BC Hydro Engineering Technology Bursaries

With the important role that technologists and technicians play in the engineering team, BC Hydro and the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC have united efforts to offer a new bursary program to assist tomorrow’s technology professionals.

Five bursaries, each valued at $1,000 will be granted to chosen applicants from selected technology programs. The BC Hydro/ASTTBC Engineering Technology Bursaries are awarded through ASTTBC’s charitable foundation, the Foundation for Education & Advancement in Technology.

Part of the solution to the coming technical-skills shortage involves reaching out to groups that have historically been under-represented in technology careers or that have faced challenges in integrating into the Canadian applied science professions. In recognition of this, some of the BC Hydro/FEAT bursaries will be targeted to women in technology and internationally-trained technologists and technicians.
